Kim lab students working with faculty

Congratulations on your decision to join the School of Natural Sciences. We are proud of the academic and research programs we offer and are excited to partner with you as we strive to find realistic solutions to society's most challenging problems.

Advances in biology, chemistry, earth sciences, mathematics and physics hold the key to unlocking everything from fighting disease to creating sustainable energy sources. Our faculty are discovering new ways to prevent HIV, reverse antibiotic resistance, and thoroughly examine biological disorders like melanoma, diabetes and valley fever. They are also leaders in environmental research, studying the comprehensive effects of climate change and pollution while working to identify better methods of resource management.

The right major and right research will ignite your passion and connect you with your future purpose. Our staff can help you figure what you want to do and the most efficient way to get there.

"It is my students who are changing the world, NOT my colleagues."

The President's National Medal of Science (2010)
