About the Minor
The Applied Mathematical Sciences minor provides students an opportunity to supplement their major with additional training in applied mathematics.
Learning Outcomes
Upon graduating, we expect students completing the Applied Mathematical Sciences minor to able to:
- Solve mathematical problems using analytical and/or computational methods.
- Identify the usefulness of applying mathematics to solve real-world problems.
- Give clear and organized written and verbal explanations of mathematical ideas to a variety of audiences.
- Recognize the relationships between different areas of mathematics and the connections between mathematics and other disciplines.
