UC Merced Faculty Petra Kranzfelder Publishes Research Article on Predicting the Implementation of Active Learning by Faculty

UC Merced STEM Education Researcher, Petra Kranzfelder, and a team of University of California researchers have published a study in the International Journal of STEM Education titled, “Predicting implementation of active learning by tenure-track teaching faculty using robust cluster analysis”. The study focuses on predicting the differences in how and if active-learning strategies are used by faculty using a robust clustering algorithm, considering faculty type, instructor characteristics and classroom characteristics.
