Each semester the School of Natural Sciences recognizes exceptional graduating students by presenting them with an Outstanding Student Award.
Students are nominated and selected by the faculty who oversee their major. Awardees are selected based on criteria including academic excellence, achievements in research, service to UC Merced, and community service and outreach.
Last semester’s Outstanding Students were recognized at a reception on November 30th where departments presented awards to each student. Here are SNS’ Fall 2018 Outstanding Student Awardees:
