Anthony Javiya is a graduating senior from University of California, Merced with a degree in Biology and an emphasis in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. During his time at UC Merced, Anthony has completed internships in Yosemite National Park and University of California, Berkeley. He has also worked as a wildlife biological technician and wilderness national park ranger in Yosemite. On campus, he has served as a member and alumni of the Yosemite Leadership Program, served as a UC Merced STEM Center tutor, and worked under Dr. Danielle Edwards as an undergraduate research assistant for phylogenetic research studies on western pond turtles and side-blotched lizards.Anthony has maintained a keen interest in wildlife management and research throughouthis academic career. Upon graduation from UC Merced, he intends to pursue a graduate degree in wildlife biology.
