Salaheldin Hegab is graduating in Spring 2022 as a third year with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics with an emphasis in Computer Science. He currently dreams of becoming a software developer and intends to pursue a Master’s degree in Computer Science in the University of California Santa Cruz with the hopes of eventually finding a position in the Silicon Valley. Salaheldin has always been a fan of mathematics for as long as he can remember, and has developed a strong taste for programming in the University of California Merced. He has also helped out his local community, taking the position of Outreach Coordinator for UC Merced’s Muslim Student Association and organizing guest speaker events meant to help develop a deeper understanding of Islam and life as a Muslim.
