Eric Eibeck is a student of Applied Mathematics with an emphasis in economics from San Diego. While he had always excelled at math, it was here at UC Merced that Eric received the encouragement and support which convinced him to wholly dedicate his studies to the subject. In the summer of 2021, he participated in research on the long-term behavior of polydisperse systems in oceanic environments as a means of analyzing the ecological effects of deep-sea mining. Eric plans to pursue a postgraduate education in mathematics after graduating from UC Merced.
