Summary Bio-bibliography (Bio-bib)

  • Generated from Digital Measures
    • Under Run Custom Reports, select the report to run, choose "UCM Bio-bibliography All" for your review period

MCA cases with merits occurring simulataneously will have a bio-bibliography for the two separate review periods.

Curriculum Vitae (CV)

  • Preferably generated from Digital Measures
    • Under Run Custom Reports, select the report to run, choose "UCM Curriculum Vitae All" for your entire career.

Self-Statement

  • Supplement to, or enhancement of, the information contained in the Bio-bib and CV.
  • Explain and contextualize research and creative work.
  • Explain and contextualize teaching.
  • Contexutalize university and public service.
  • Explain contributions to diversity, if any.

Additional Teaching Materials

  • Teaching must be evaluated through at least two forms of evidence.
    • Provide a small sample of materials that were actually used in your class, such as syllabi, exams, quizzes, homework, notes provided to students, etc.
    • Other evidence of teaching, such as peer evaluations, assessment learning outcomes, or other assessments may be included.
    • Select the materials you feel will best showcase your teaching

Publications

  • Include publications and reviews that have been published during your review period.
  • Note: In press items can be included and must have letters or emails indicating that they have been accepted for publication, unless the items are gallery proofs. The term "in press" designates works that have been accepted for publication without revisions. If you submit items that are in press they are counted for this review period and will not be counted again in the next review period.
  • Book contracts are not considered an "in press" item.
  • Books and other large publications can be submitted as "one of a kind" materials. Electronic versions are encouraged.

Reviewers

  • Review committee and letter writers (for Promotions or Merits to Professor, Step VI):
    • Provide a list of extramural reviewers.
      • Include name, academic title, current institution, and note your relationship, if any.
      • Provide names of persons who might not provide and objective evaluation or reviwe whether external or interal to UC Merced, if applicable.

Memo of Completion

Send an email to snspersonnel@ucmerced.edu notifying that you have completed all the components of your review. If all information is received the school Academic Personnel staff can begin reviewing your file.

Teaching Evaluations

  • Teaching evaluations administered by the School of Natural Sciences will be added to your file. You do not need to submit them.
  • Cross listed courses not in the School of Natural Sciences 

Sabbatical Reports

  • If you have taken a sabbatical leave during your review period the sabbatical report will be added to your file.
