Bio:
Dr. Kevin Uno is currently an Assistant Research Professor at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory at Columbia University. His research interests include:
• Paleoecology and paleoclimate reconstructions using light stable isotopes from molecular biomarkers in sediments(C,H), tooth enamel (C,O), and paleosol carbonate (C,O).
• Pyrogenic biomarkers for reconstructing fire in ancient ecosystems
• Radiocarbon dating of modern (post-bomb) tissues in ecology and wildlife forensics
• Modern elephant ecology using stable isotope records in tusks (C,N,O), molars (C,O), and tail hair (C,N) •Noble gas, tritium, and stable isotopes as tracers in glacial processes
