The palette below was created from sampling photographs tagged with Natural Sciences from our image repository. They are the colors most seen in your environment.

Brown = wetlands color most of the year
Green = color sample taken from Little Lake reeds
Light Blue = Merced's sky horizon
Yellow = Golden Poppies 
Blue = color of your bright latex gloves

Slates and Sciences

A more toned-down, darker color palette. The harmony between each color, gives a feeling of high quality, order, structure and allows for the content to shine through. Distraction-free palette.

UCM Base Alt

This palette uses 3 of the UCM base colors for our gateway site - Monterey Blue, California Gold, and Carmel Slate. Crimson/Maroon were added to add burst of color, and a very light gray to balance them all out. Strong university feel with eye pleasing, complimentary colors.
