The Search Committee discusses and ranks the candidates according to the Department’s by-laws.
The Search Committee prepares a short memo [A11] describing the process of and reasons for the rankings, with reference to each candidates’ impact on research, teaching and diversity, equity and inclusion goals.
The Department Chair sends Top Candidate Selection Memo [A11] to the Dean via email.
The Dean may wish to discuss the memo with the Department Chair.
The Department Chair contacts final candidate with a verbal offer.
If final candidate declines a verbal offer, then the Department Chair moves on to the second candidate.
